We are called to Love One another

1 John 4: 7-8 

“Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God, everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God. Whoever is without Love, does not know God, for God is Love.”

This school year we are called to Love one another. Sr. Borgia Elementary School has decided to live this in the following way:

We will show that we care for each other by giving the Gift of listening:
When you care about someone you listen to them. We all feel special when others take time out to listen to us. 
 

We will share Kind Notes and Encouraging Notes.

It is a joy to receive a kind and encouraging note from another other. Both staff and students will give a weekly note to someone. This note will tell the reader something special about him/her. In this way we let others know they are special.

The gift of Giving.

On a monthly basis we will give the gift of giving. Both staff and students are to share a token of their love with another. This may be in the form of cookie, drawing, apple, flower, pretty shell, rock, a self made book mark, a card.

Give a helping hand

When we reach out and help others, we show that we care. Students may help a classmate with reading, studying, help with timetables, help with spelling words. The possibly is also there to help a child in another class.
