Arrival MAcademy Group Going Green
Sr.Borgia Goes Green in Partnership with Macademy Brooklyn, New York
On September 16, 2009 our school received a visit from representatives of our partner school; Macademy School of Science and Technology of Brooklyn New York. It was an exciting exchange as the students of both school made an initial contact on the theme of Going Green.
Among the highlights of this visit were:
The Official launching of the Going Green Awareness Campaign attended by various representatives of Government, Schools and other special guests.
The participation of both schools in the International Coastal Clean Up at Mullet Bay organized by St.Maarten Pride Foundation was very special.
The students also visited Laser 101 and had a talk with Electra. The community of St.Maarten and surrounding islands had the opportunity of listening to the youth give their views on Going Green.
Other activities included a tour and swim at Le Gallion, Mass at Risen Christ Church, various exchanges during class time.
